Hello Everyone!

Much to catch up on! Two months ago (end of January) I was lucky enough to go on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida over to Cozumel, Mexico as a work retreat with my company. So I’m going to split this trip into two parts: the cruise and Cozumel, Mexico.

We cruised on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas We had delicious dinners and enjoyed live entertainment while on board. It was smooth sailing all weekend. We enjoyed two days at sea and one day in Cozumel, Mexico. I love cruises. They’re a great way to travel from place to place and they give you a small taste of the destinations. You don’t have to worry about transportation, food or lodging; it’s all provided for!

This particular cruise was four days long, which was a perfect getaway for the weekend. For my foodies – there are many varieties of bars and restaurants, which are constantly changing their menus. Every evening was accompanied with many options for entertainment after dinner, everything stand-up comedy, karaoke, an onboard nightclub, a casino to a lively piano bar.

For those of you with children, there’s no shortage of fun activities for them to participate in and for the whole family to enjoy together. This ship had FlowRider in which you could learn to surf or boogey board right on the ship! Liberty of the Seas also had a rock-wall and a mini golf course. Want a little getaway from the kids? No problem! Liberty of the Seas has several clubs/areas where you can drop off your children of all ages (from nursery to teens) and know they’re safe and will have a blast! On a previous cruise with my family, my brother was constantly in one of these clubs, and we hardly saw him. He had a blast and made many new friends.

Cruise prices range depending on the time of year, as you may have expected. Typically, cruising season is May to September and off-season is October to April (with peak times during the holidays as well). Typically though, I’ve found that cruises are one of the cheaper directions to go when vacationing, because as I said before, almost everything is included! Drink packages and shore excursions are available at extra costs.

Here’s the link to this specific cruise if you want some more information – on this ship or others with the Royal Caribbean cruise line. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/class/ship/home.do?dest=&shipClassCode=FR&shipCode=LB&br=R

Happy Cruising 🙂
